Life is a journey isn’t it?!
I’ve not been the kind of person where it all just magically happens for me.
I’ve had to do years of deep inner work that has given me perspective and guidance in my journey of getting to where I am today.….and I won’t lie I’m no way NEAR finished. Are we ever really finished though?
Mediocracy has never sat ok within my soul. Deep in my bones I knew there was more of me & more for me than just plodding through life sitting in norm. I had a yearning for more greatness in all aspects of life. Relationships, community, spiritually, business, financially, travel & culture.
Even when I was young I recall analyzing myself. My skills, my looks, how people perceived me…I came up with average.
AVERAGE …. I mean, it just felt icky. Lets face it, average is not an inspiring word to play with.
I started asking myself….
Am I going to have an uninspiring life that doesn’t create a significant impact on others? Is this what life is …. Average? Surely there’s more to life than mediocrity? Was I meant to be average all my life?
HELL NO!
It felt uncomfortable for a reason! I’m not meant to be average. I didn’t know why or how that looked to me at the time but as an adult it all slowly unfolded for me.
As I‘ve looked back there were little tell tale signs….
I was vegetarian at aged 11 living and growing up on farms. I was super sensitive & intuitive but honestly didn’t know not everyone was like this until adulthood.
I knew I was a good leader but not sure really what to do with it.
Fast forward 30 years and I working in jobs, trading time for money. Doing what I had to do, not what I wanted to do. Living in groundhog day, in the grind of everyday life’s expectations of you . . .but I got to a point and I thought to myself. ''Why the f*** can’t I live a magical life doing a job I love, impacting the planet and peoples lives in a positive way…. ??''
OF COURSE I CAN!
So the next 12 years sent me on a journey of self discovery, an awakening, healing of myself, healing of others, studying Ayurveda, traveling the world, babies, soul mates, letting go of toxic relationships & jobs …. Just unlearning all my conditioning and slowly doing it my own way!
HOW LIBERATING!
Don’t get me wrong, this was not a linear journey….I have been a hot mess at times!! When I didn’t listen to my intuition….the universe eventually took hold of the situation and forced a shake up! …. If you know what I mean. WOW big learnings in the chaos hey!?
So now we find ourselves in the present day….
Doing it my way. Doing it different to the norm.
I AM A FREEDOM SEEKER!
